where wombful women meet. let's bring "prenatal care" back to the village.
Village prenatal is all about reclaiming prenatal "care" and bringing it back to the village. This concept, named and taught by elder midwife Sister Morningstar, is a potent container for mothers to meet, be held, loved, and nourished on all levels. Our mission to co-create a space together and <within> for you to return to for support and strength over and over again.
After you attend at least one of these gatherings, you will be invited to our private online community. We host ongoing events and meet ups in that space and in person such as mother blessings, post-partum park dates, breastfeeding circles, wild pregnancy circles, birth story sharing, free birth meet ups and more!
MHC Village Prenatal is organized and facilitated by Darrah. Mother of 3 and a woman who is devoted to birth support and trained in traditional midwifery. Each gathering there will also be a guest facilitator. Check out our list of holistic providers and facilitators here.
These events are ceremonial in nature. We bring special ritual into these circles by incorporating elements of beauty and nature and guided meditation and prayer. We honor the wombful woman by giving her time to share and speak whatever is on her heart and invite her to receive nourishment via various offerings such as potluck foods, foot baths, massage, baby greetings etc.
